Terms of use

The terms of your Musalea account, the free trial and the app on your computers. Musalea is provided by Integrated Biopharma Strategy S.L. (see the Legal notice). By using your account or the app, you accept these terms.

Your account

• An account is for one person. Keep your password to yourself; what is done with your account is your responsibility.
• The account gives you the app for Windows and Mac, the Method and the preparation of your own scores, during your trial and then with a paid plan.
• We may block an account that breaks these terms; the app then stops opening lessons and preparing scores for it.

The free trial

• Your trial starts the first time the app signs in on a computer, and lasts 14 practice days within 60 days of that start.
• A day counts as a practice day once the signed-in app has been open for 5 minutes that day, in the time zone your computer first reported. Days you do not open the app do not count.
• Everything is unlocked during the trial. No card is needed and nothing is charged.
• In the trial's last three practice days, the app reminds you how many are left.
• The trial ends when its 14 practice days are used or its 60 days have passed, whichever comes first.

Paid plans

After the trial, a paid plan keeps everything open. Its price, length and conditions are shown to you before you pay, and become part of these terms.

The app on your computers

• While your trial or plan is active, we give you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to install and use Musalea on up to three computers at a time.
• Each computer registers with your account when it signs in. A computer you stop using frees its place 30 days after its last use.
• The app renews its licence with our server while it is online. A trial licence lasts up to 72 hours and a paid one up to 30 days, so you can practise without a connection in between.
• When the trial or a plan ends, or the account is blocked, the app stops opening lessons and preparing scores. Your own data stays yours on your computer: your history, recordings, settings, your own scores and their exports, and the exports of the Method's CC BY-SA scores.
• Preparations and Method downloads have daily and monthly limits per account and per computer. When one is reached, the app says so, and you can continue later.
• Do not copy, sell, rent or share the app or the Method's lessons, exercises and texts; do not get around its licence checks; and do not decompile or alter the app, except where the law allows it.

Your own scores

• You can import MusicXML, MIDI and MuseScore files of up to 20 MB. Our preparation service converts them and makes their exercises and backings for you.
• You keep every right you have in your scores. You must have the right to use each score you import: because it is in the public domain, it is your own work, or its licence or its owner allows it. You are responsible for what you upload.
• You allow us to store and process your scores only to prepare them for you, as the Privacy policy explains. We do not publish them or give them to anyone.

The Method's content

• The Method's lessons, exercises, cards, texts and the pieces written for it are ours, for your own practice in the app.
• Its other scores come from public-domain and openly licensed editions, credited in the app and on Licences and credits. Their licences are theirs: nothing in these terms limits what a score's own licence lets you do with it. The CC BY-SA scores can be exported from the app under that same licence.
• The Method's level equivalents are an approximate guide. Musalea's feedback and progress are not grades, exam results or certificates of any exam board.

Acceptable use

Do not use Musalea to break the law or anyone's rights; do not upload harmful files or content you have no right to use; do not try to reach other accounts or data; and do not overload, probe or disrupt the service, or download its content by automated means.

The service

We work to keep the service available and to improve it, so features may change. Preparing scores, the Method's downloads and licence renewals need our server; what the app has already downloaded works offline while your licence is valid.

Liability

We provide Musalea with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for indirect losses or for losses caused by events outside our control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, nor your rights as a consumer under the law of your country.

Ending

You can stop using Musalea at any time, and ask us to close your account by writing to contact@inbistra.com. We may close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms, we publish the new version here with its date. A change that affects you materially applies once you have had the chance to read it; if you do not accept it, you can stop using Musalea.

Law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you may go to the courts of your place of residence. Write to us first: most questions are solved quickly by email.
