Focus Feel three beats in a bar and recognise steps and skips in two answering phrases.
What its lesson teaches
Study Three Steps, an original in 3/4. Tap three steady quarter-note beats, then play the melody alone and find its steps and skips. The left hand holds a dotted half note for the whole bar, then rests for a bar: count all three beats of each. Join the hands, and keep the first beat of each bar clear without striking harder.
Technique C major five-finger pattern, hands separately
